Red Dot Pavillion

“The House of Arts Gallery” – Red Dot Pavillion at Art Basel Week, Miami, USA

Elisa Wuo, graduated in Fine Arts from FAAP, SP in 1984. She moved to Florida where she has lived and worked as a surface designer for 25 years.

The artist has worked with mural paintings since 1996. Surrounded by construction and renovation, her atelier was itinerant and chaotic which feeds her inspiration. An unfolding of her artistic work begins to emerge on new surfaces such as canvases, paper and wood; where in a moment of introspection and intimacy, the materiality and density of such pours into her paintings. It starts to explore a poetic attitude that generates new meanings for the artistic experience, creating intriguing scenes and reflecting on the intersection of feeling and thinking. Elisa grasps our attention from the expressiveness of the pictorial material, to the poetic event that the graphics, stains, erasures, and inscriptions convey on her canvas. When thought provoking and compelling scenes appear, the artist deems the painting complete.

It seeks to educate your gaze and spirit to have a reflective tension, revolving around the dialogue of image and thought.

Her work resides in the State of Florida, USA and the State of São Paulo, Brazil
